Meet outside the entrance to the Steyning Centre, Fletchers Croft,  BN44 3XZ (opposite the Church of St. Andrew & St. Cuthman.)

A walk through half a millennium of Steyning’s liquid history –more of a ramble really, with plenty of stops.  See where breweries, malthouses, inns and public houses were situated in the past and whether we can find any traces of them today.  The Chequer Inn, The Norfolk Arms, The Star and The White Horse, are fortunately still with us – here is your chance to see and hear some of their history.  To revive you the walk will finish at the Beer Festival being held at the Sussex Cricket Club, around 1pm.   An option to sample some local ale before you head for home!
