FREE EVENT – no booking required, just turn up.  Meet outside the entrance to the Steyning Centre, Fletchers Croft.  11 am start.

Sunday 4th September.  11 am prompt start.  Duration about 2 hours.

A “ramble” through half a millennium of Steyning’s liquid history with plenty of stops along the way.  See where breweries, malthouses, inns and public houses were situated in the past and whether we can find any traces of them today.  The Chequer Inn, The Star and The White Horse, are fortunately still with us – here is your chance to take in some of their history too.  During the Walk you will come across some very welcome “tasting trays” giving you the chance to sample more recent drink offerings – i.e.  beers from RIVERSIDE BREWERY and gins from SLAKE SPIRITS.  The whole event delightfully hosted – with great humour – by local historian Dr Janet Pennington.

May we take this opportunity to thank all our superb and generous sponsors.   Without their support and enthusiasm our Festival could not take place – we really cannot thank them enough.
