The second of our On Line evenings with reading and Q&A in the company of local author Kevin Newman. Kevin makes his foray into the world of historical fiction with his first novel, in which food(and drink) feature heavily, “Beef Every Day But No Latin”. As you can probably guess from the title, the book, based on a real-life 11-year-old Hove schoolboy – who set up his own school – experienced disagreements over the lynchpin of all schools, school dinners. It is due to be published on September 15th by Steyning’s very own Real Press publishers. The book has just featured in the Argus in the Sussex uncovered feature. The Steyning Bookshop will be on hand to take orders for the book, priced at £7.99 in paperback. Please contact Kevin on details above to let him know you are coming along, at which time the Zoom link & password will be sent to you.
