About The Festival
The Steyning & District Food & Drink Festival is a celebration of the type and quality of food and drink available, that is produced in Steyning and the surrounding area.
This month of events is all about showcasing local products, producers and businesses, brings visitors to Steyning and the local villages of Bramber, Beeding, Ashurst, Edburton, Wiston and Small Dole and raises money for a local chosen charity, supporting the local economy and the businesses in the area.
The festival begins with a bang at the September Steyning Farmers’ Market which will feature live music and cooking demonstrations, and will include all sorts of events including tea parties, our very own Bake-Off competition, foodie walks, a winery tour, brewery open days, a Beer Festival, star gazing and lots more. Favourites will return and there will be some brand new events too!
The Steyning & District Food and Drink Festival is being brought to you by a superb team of hard working, innovative, dedicated people! The amount of voluntary time they have given to the event is quite mind blowing, but as long as it is successful and enjoyed by many, it is all worth it. Would you like to help next year? If so, we would love to hear from you

The small market town of Steyning and its neighbouring villages are set on the edge of the South Downs National Park. We are luck to have many thriving local food and drink producers and enticing venues.
More information is available on our Tourist Information webpage.
The Steyning & District Food & Drink Festival is organised and run by the Steyning & District Community Partnership, Visitor & Tourism Group.
This is only one of the many projects that have been driven by the Partnership over the years; if you would like to learn more about the Partnership and maybe volunteer to serve on one of our sub committees, see the Steyning & District Community Partnership website
This Year’s Festival Charity
The Festival charity this year is the Chestnut Tree House Childrens’ Hospice. Serving East and West Sussex, Brighton & Hove and South East Hampshire, they care for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age with progressive life-shortening conditions. Their goal is to provide the best quality of life for these young people and their families, together with offering practical, social and spiritual support throughout each child’s life, however short it may be.
We are delighted to back this wonderful charity and with your – help through supporting our Charity dishes and events – we hope to raise a generous donation to help swell their funds.
